Another thing to try first is when you are welding is keep the cable to the gun straight as possible. Higher guage wire doesn't travel around curves well as lighter gauge. Its not as adjustable as my 125 plus. I can lay a damn nice bead with the old lincoln.. Kemm

Use your eyes ,nose and hands to locate the problem. First Turn the machine on. Can you hear the transformer hum? if you can the problem is in the secondary wiring .
